Yes! Stampr is engineered with an offline-first architecture. In remote areas, mountain peaks, or cellular dead zones, your device verifies your GPS location locally against your on-device database. Your stamp is earned immediately without requiring an internet connection.

Brand meters allow you to track your progress visiting locations belonging to specific national brands or chains (e.g. Wetherspoon, Hard Rock Cafe, Dishoom). As you visit venues, your completion meter updates automatically, unlocking social badges and achievement milestones.

Stampr is built around a PII-free (Personally Identifiable Information) design. When you install the app, a secure 256-bit cryptographic key pair (publicKey) is generated locally on your device. This allows you to sync progress and connect with friends completely anonymously without ever giving us your name, email, or phone number.

No. We never track, record, or store your real-time GPS movement logs, travel paths, or location tracking histories on our servers. GPS checks occur on your device strictly when you choose to stamp a venue.

Under App Settings, you can enable Cloud Backups. Stampr saves a sandboxed backup copy directly inside your private Google Drive or Apple iCloud container. This backup is completely private to you and cannot be accessed by Stampr Limited or third parties.

You can connect using any of 4 methods: (1) Camera QR Code scanning, (2) Photo library QR image upload, (3) Manual 32-character Friend Code typing, or (4) Shared invite links/text strings.

No. Connected friends can only compare aggregate total counts, brand totals, and unlocked achievements. Friends can never view individual visited locations or your private check-in history.
